John & Julie's 50th Anniversary 10th Sep 2009

If you were in the sunken garden on Thursday 10th September you may have seen a couple in deckchairs with a bottle of champagne. They are John & Julie King who met on 10th Sept 1959 in the Karsino and they thought they should come back to celebrate their anniversary.

Island Party 2009

July 4th was the island party. Warm and sunny with a good attendance, not the biggest ever, but those who came, all seemed to have a good time.

Lesley and James did all the planning and preparation, and on the day, Chris W, Dave & Suellen, Peter & Sue helped them to set everything up.

'Be a DJ for an hour' worked really well with music from Chris W, Suellen,Sam Hanson, Gareth and Jacqui.

Sue Beck ran the boules brilliantly and with a rod of iron and congratulations to Simon (Pieces of 8) and Gareth (African Queen) for taking the trophy.
